March 25 Talk: LEGO Artist Sheena McClure

Join us inside the MAC-curated Brick by Brick: We Built This City exhibition for a behind-the-scenes talk with Spokane builder Sheena McClure. Along side her sister Jessica Reichard, she built the iconic The Davenport Hotel and she'll be at the MAC to share insights about the craft, the process of designing, and more!

About the builders: The "Leg Godt Ladies", Sheena McClure and Jessica Reichard, have been fascinated by LEGO bricks since visiting Legoland in Billund, Denmark nearly 40 years ago. LEGO has not just been a means of entertainment and a creative way to bond with their own children, but also a tool they both used as educators in the classroom. The Leg Godt Ladies like to spend their time together creating large scenes, whether that be castles, cities, or space stations.

About this series: Gallery Talk with an Expert is your chance to get up close with an expert on our exhibitions. We invite everyone from curators to graphic artists to technical experts to give you all the behind-the-scenes fun and facts that you can't get anywhere else. The first talk starts at 5:45 pm and is repeated at 6:45 pm.
