He will begin his program by talking about Mr. Rockwell’s studio practice and his methods of creating an illustration, since most people do not realize the singular determination he had as an illustrator, nor how hard he worked to craft his unique vision.

After the discussion Mr. Dowd will provide a live painting demonstration showing first -hand how precisely Rockwell went about creating a painting. Dowd will begin his program by talking about Mr. Rockwell’s studio practice and his methods of creating an illustration since most people do not realize the singular determination he had as an illustrator, nor how hard he worked to craft his unique vision.  After the discussion Mr. Dowd will provide a live painting demonstration showing first -hand how Rockwell went about creating a painting by finishing the face of the main character in the famous Rockwell work "Full Treatment."
