Program Description: This is the final program in a three-part series complementing the current Museum exhibits: "Dressing the Abbey: The Costumes of Downton Abbey," and Campbell House's "Spinning a Yarn."

Curators Laura Thayer and Marsha Rooney will discuss what the MAC Costume Collection is and how has it grown. What documentation do curators look for, and how do they go about filling collection “gaps? We will consider case studies that illustrate efforts to diversify the collection, to collect mid-20th century mother-and-daughter fashions, to document early 21st century women leaders, and to provide biography that brings all these women’s stories alive.
