Marion Crane, a fed-up office worker, decided to take a chance when she embezzles forty thousand dollars to start a new life with her lover Sam. Marion flees from her home city and becomes tired from driving and caught in a storm. She stops at the Bates Motel, run by a shy man named Norman who is controlled by his overbearing mother. 

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Run time: 1h 49m. Rated R.
