April's Lecture - De-Objectification: Art and the Female Body
For centuries, the nude female body has been objectified in paintings and sculptures. In the 1970s, female artists began taking bold steps to challenge and complicate artistic tradition. The lecture highlights their efforts to depict the female body and female experience from a different point of view.
