November's Lecture - Movies and Doll Houses: The Construction of the Feminine

In the 1970s, feminists noted that childhood toys, advertisements, and movies all prompted women to adopt specific roles in society. This lecture highlights female artists who used photography and everyday objects to expose just how popular culture constructs and reinforces social expectations for women.
