Class Description: The Impressionists are famous for their use of light and color, much of which came from their experience in plein air painting – painting from life outdoors. Explore your inner Impressionist by watercolor painting outdoors with respected Spokane artist Megan Perkins in the Browne’s Addition neighborhood - and capture your “impressions” of neighborhood architecture and nature. You will learn to measure and breakdown subjects for accurate drawing as well as how to add color with paint, colored pencils or markers.

Note: If this workshop cannot be offered on the Museum campus due to COVID 19, the instructor will offer it for you as a live webinar. You will need a computer to participate. If the class is offered as a webinar, you will be informed by email before the class date and we will provide you with a link to join.

*Effective June 26 a statewide order for Washington State requires all individuals to wear a face covering in indoor public spaces. The order also requires face coverings outdoors when a person is unable to stay at least 6 feet apart from others. To insure the safety of all of our Museum guests, and be in compliance to this mandate as a state agency, the Museum is requiring all people visiting its campus, including those participating in its summertime public programs or workshops, whether held outdoors or indoors, to wear a face covering. The governor's office has listed some exemptions to this statewide order. You can review the exemptions through this link: . Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We look forward to seeing you soon and often at the MAC this summer!
